This new home sits on the shore of Tatamagouche Bay in Bayhead, a short drive from Tatamagouche on Nova Scotia’s North Shore. The drone photos were taken in August 2026, as the exterior was wrapping up.
Designed for the setting
The house is a storey-and-a-half design with a steep roof pitch, and a long shed dormer adds full-height space to the upper floor. Windows on both levels take advantage of the open views across the bay and the surrounding fields.
A coastal exterior built for North Shore weather
Homes on the water take the brunt of wind and salt air. This exterior pairs sage green vertical siding with brown siding and a decorative truss in the front gable, all under a brown steel roof that sheds rain and snow and holds up well in exposed coastal locations.
